New Year's Party 2005 // Layer 01
2006-01-01 / 2:14 p.m.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I just got up from bed =D! I woke up a few times earlier, once at 9AM, then 10AM, but I felt completely smashed from sleeping last night at 5:30AM. I wasn't doing much - uploading photos and videos, resizing them, reading Old Magic.
When I sat up from bed the pains from four bruises reminded me of yesterday and last night. It has been overnight but the hype is still with me; and instead of scrunching my face up with the pain these bruises bring, I grabbed them and laughed out loud, so much.
One on each of my knees, that would be me failing to do a backroll and banging my knees, oh lordy. One on my right shoulder blade, of unknown origin, and the last bruise on my right elbow, don't know where that's from either.
But I didn't mind. These bruises bring back very nice and laughable memories; that's a bit warped to say, but 'warped' can be a way to describe yesterday =D.

New Year's Eve 2005 party at Adam's house yesterday. No word can sum it up better than, simply brilliant. Mm, that's two words but who gives two shits.
Ahh, I'll write about it in chronological order, though some bits may be wrong =/.

As Sam has asked, when I woke up - which was about, 1PM? (Sarah's text woke me up at 11AM! RAWR!) - I phoned him regardless of how I feel. If I'm good then I was to go straight over to Sam's, if I'm still ill then I would stay in bed. Michael Eastwood, the person responsible for my virus, said it is an overnight thing and I shouldn't get too worried. He was right, and yesterday morning everything was okay!, apart from the bleeding throat, but wounds will heal so I wasn't too worried. To everyone's wishes, I can attend New Year's Party!
I brushed my teeth, got dressed and packed my stuff & food (and oranges; an ill person must have oranges!), and as Sarah would say, bounced off to Sam's.
Got there, washed hair, did New Year's make-up, blah blah, uninteresting uninteresting. Sarah rang about 10 minutes after I got in, and Sam told her I was there! Arrghh what a dunce, I was going to fake that I cannot make it. Well, there's always Adam to fool...
Little do I know. When me and Sam were on the way, I was on the phone to Adam,
Me: *weak voice* Adam ... I just woke up, and I feel com-plete-ly shattered.
Adam: *sympathetic voice* Owh, Joey ... *normal* don't beg it, I know you're chatting shit.
Me: *back to normal bossy voice* What the hell?! How do you know?!?! *turns to Sam* DID YOU TELL HIM TOO?!
Sam: *eyes wide, innocent* What, no! I just told Sarah!
Adam: *has heard* Leave the boy alone; Sarah told me.
Me: AARRGHHH MY PLAN!!!!!

Adam has a habit of leaving whoever's downstairs to open the door for his guests, and since people are there already, he is upstairs, leaving his sister to open the door for us. Sam and I decided to sit outside Adam's room, listening to him, Michael H and Sabirah chat =D. Sam wanted to go in a few times but I held him back, I wanted them to discover for themselves =D. We ended up sitting outside Adam's room for ... 20-30 minutes. During that time, we made so loud obvious noises like Sam's distinctive squeaky noise, laughing, playing with my TamaGotchi... I even ate a whole orange outside there. If Sabirah wasn't hungry and Adam had to escort her down to the kitchen, they would've never found us. Well, they will have to find out we're sitting out there eventually, but you get me. Adam saw my bright orange bag with the corner of his eye and dismissed it for one second, then turned back was like,
"Waaaait a second ........ ARRRGHHHH!!!"
Even so, Adam went back in his room and pulled out Michael to confirm that it was actually me and Sam sitting there. Wtf, lmao.

Sarah T and Pru arrived, then a while later Sarah G, Katy and Michael E, then a few minutes before dinner, Emily arrived. Nothing much happened that was quite worthy of note-taking, just chit-chatting and rolling about on the floor.
Oh no wait, one really, quite funny thing. I got tired of my dress so I changed into Adam's tshirt (like always). Then the guys started on putting on my dress and top! A few pictures were taken, lots of banging heads on walls from laughing.

When Sarah G arrived she brought Twister! I didn't know what it was @_@, so I had it explained to me so many times.
Me: But like... won't you be in a really weird angle if that hand is there and the other leg is like, at the end of the mat?
People: That's the whole point!
Pru was the spinner, and participants were: Sarah T, Sabirah, Sarah G, Michael E, Michael H, Sam. Katy and Adam's dignity is too refind for a game as such as that, and I just ... didn't really get it at the end lmao, so I didn't want to ruin the game. The last ones standing were Sabirah and walking-out-of-the-60s Sarah T (Katy's words).

Everyone having dinner on Adam's posh table. What an experience. Girls on one side and guys on other side. Well, I was on the guy's side because I wanted to sit on the central chair =D! Pru and Emily sat on the other end central chair; so I had to =D. Ahh it felt like, one of those ancient paintings... Arthur's table? Or Jesus' last meal or something? It was just really nice, despite that me and Michael E was threatening to cough all our germs on the food.

Another memorable scene at the party was me, Adam, Michael E and Sam in the bathroom, in complete darkness. I was just sitting leaning on the side of the bathtub, laughing so much at the guys ... and I will never tell anyone what happened =D. It's actually nothing big, to think about it, but keeping it mysterious is good!, yes.

Around 10:30PM I needed my daily nap, so I rolled into room 2 and lied there. At least, to get away from the hype for a few moments. Immediately after I lied down, a bloody cough took over and I had to rush over to the bathroom and spit it out, coughing more, and bleeding more. Running Adam's tap on high, washing all the red off, careful not getting it anywhere. Sabirah came in needing the toilet, but I was okay then so I just went back into room 2. Maybe the Chinese bitter medicine didn't help that much. Adam and Sam came in after me asking if things were okay, they heard me coughing. They gave me half an hour to rest =). Adam stayed there, holding one hand, just to keep me in company even when I sleep. I hadn't been alone with Adam for so long, so I just had to talk, about how happy I am with everything, what I've been thinking about recently, summing up 2005. Sabirah had to leave so Adam took her to the door, and then Sam came in for the last ten minutes of my nap, being aware I have nightmares when I sleep so he watched me. Again, not much sleeping was done but lying there with my eyes closed revitalised me quite a lot.

11PM arrived! I got up and we all went into Adam's room, everyone spending the last hour together.
Adam and I spent a few minutes looking out the window. We saw the Orion: two large stars and three at the middle, then two little stars at the bottom. Wow, there were just so many stars that night, the sky was quite clear, fireworks everywhere =).

The TV was on BBC1, and everyone was having fun, talking dancing singing, then the last 5 minutes arrived ....
and I completely lost it.
I actually went nuts, probably more than I did at Michael Haley's at Thursday, watching the 5 minute timer on the television and discovering what will happen at the end of the countdown - it was a TV switch-off timer, afterall; but those 5 minutes were TENSE!
However, the tension cannot compare to the tension of galactic measures last night. Sam was still lying on the mattress next to me and I was all shouting,
"My lord, get up! It's the last 5 minutes, watch the counter!!"
Reminded of the scene at Michael H's, Katy and Michael E turned around and gave me a look and an 'I remember' smile.
I can't remember what sort of things I did, but I remember I just went completely crazy with the Sarahs, Adam and Sam calming me down, oh my lord.
The last ten seconds were there and everyone gathered in a circle, arms all around, and countdown =D! Hug hug kiss kiss, and each of us reciting our new years resolutions.
Adam: I solemnly swear not to beg it for a whole year.
People: You failed already.
And then basically, everyone claiming to do the first things of 2006, she knows it (Sarah it will never get dry), manana, first gay voice conversation, etc etc.
Man, watching Pru eating all that chocolate made me so happy. She was on a fund-raising not to eat chocolate for the whole of December, and she is one of those who eats chocolate every-day-twice-a-day.
Everyone was truly happy =). And that makes me happier than anything else.
I was picked up at 12:30AM and said goodbye to my neeks. I love my neeks.
Got home, and had hot home-made miso soup waiting for me =D!

My summing up of 2005 and pictures of the party are in Layer 02. Proceed!
